Drawing The Female Figure by ClaytonBarton Drawing The Female Figure by ClaytonBarton
Drawing The Female Figure
----------------------------------
After all the things I looked up on the internet and all the books I read on how to draw the female figure I found this method the most easiest and accurate to learn.

Draw a Line, then a diamond shape with the line as it's center, the add two circles at the bottom... And there you go, a perfectly proportioned torso and waist.

I don't think it's too accurate, but it's pretty okay. 'Cause, her upper torso looks abit more muscular, and her waist isn't very naturally feminine-like. I think her waist should be abit higher for this picture. c:

Wow, this is actually really helpful. I stopped drawing for quite a while, and then tried to draw tonight but really struggled. But after seeing this, and with a little bit more effort, drawing the girls isn't do hard :D  Took me half an hour to get a decent drawing thanks to you

though the perception of how easy it'd be to draw the female figure based on your reference, can differ between artist to artist, this seems to be a viable solution to drawing the base of a female figure.

ths helped a little.

thanks.

though i think the study of the muscle structure of the human body would be a great addition in unison with this technique to grasp the concept of how to draw a female body.

And if I mess around with the size of the diamond I can alter the shape and size of the torso. Big woman, small woman, wierd woman right?
